My Thoughts

These are my thoughts that I wrote back in February and never posted. Please note that it was still winter and my skin was more dry back then. (FYI my skin type is sensitive and dry/combination.)

The first week I used it, I felt disappointed. I use the Vitacreme B12 only as a night cream and it was not moisturizing enough; I woke up to small dry patches on my face. Perhaps my hopes and expectations were too high. Nonetheless, I kept using it and I'm really glad I did!

You see, that first week happened to be a very dry week weather-wise. And yes, my skin needed time to adjust to the product (although other moisturizers did a better job that first week). The weather changed and a week of rain added much-needed humidity in the air; my thirsty skin was very grateful.

Mona said to give it a month, even though the website said results would be visible after two weeks. Ever so gradually, my skin adjusted. At first, the recommended massage after applying the cream seemed counterproductive. It felt more like I was rubbing it off my face instead of letting it sink in. But over the weeks, my skin got used to it.

After a month, just when I'd about given up hope and any expectations, I gingerly touched my face in bed one night...and noticed a soft, pleasant plumpness in my cheeks! The next morning, I noticed while my skin felt soft, it also had a certain firmness to it. I was elated. I felt like I'd somehow managed to recapture a bit of youth in my face.

It sounds silly but I'd noticed when my face lost the plumpness in my cheeks. At first, it was kind of cool...more cheekbones, less baby cheeks. But then...I didn't want it to keep losing it! I find there's a certain innocence and cuteness to soft, plump but resilient cheeks...and now I feel I've managed to regain that. =)

The creme spreads easily and absorbs quickly, and its texture is lightweight and almost "fluffy." It's pink and has a subtle scent which I don't mind (sort of a floral powdery scent). The tube has lasted me a good 6+ months since I don't use it every night (but I do use it most nights), so I definitely think it's reasonably priced.

Overall, I really like it if not absolutely love it. I like it enough to not be thinking of replacing it, haha, obviously as I've just ordered another tube. I have definitely seen improvement in my skin, especially when I keep using it nightly. I would recommend it as a night creme (since you need to massage it in and it doesn't have any SPF) and to anyone who wants something moisturizing but not too heavy, and especially anyone who has ever felt that his/her skin looks "tired."

  1. Thanks for the review! A lot of people were talking about this product before. Always nice to hear more opinions :]

It's still too expensive for me and doesn't really fit my skin right now lol But it's definitely on my wishlist for the future! ^__^

  9. nice review - reminds me that I ought to post my review as well :)

It's a bit heavy for me to use right now on my whole face, but I use it as a pot treatment for dry skin now and then...I'm sure this will become part of my night routine once the weather gets colder/drier!
