GEO Princess Mimi Circle Lenses in Sesame Grey

Disclaimer:  This is my first time wearing circle lenses.  If you decide to wear circle lenses, please use precaution and good judgment as there is some risk with causing harm to your eyes whether due to improper usage, wearing damaged lenses, etc. (or your eyes simply may not agree with circle lenses or certain brands of circle lenses).  I am not qualified to advise you on wearing circle lenses, so if you're uncertain, please visit and consult your optometrist before trying circle lenses.

I may have mentioned on my blog (fore sure I did on my FB page) that I won As Pink As My Juicy's circle lens giveaway sponsored by EyeCandyLens.com.  Well, here is what I won, my very first pair of circle lenses!!

The prize also included Rohto Lycee Eye Drops and a set of falsies.  I haven't tried the falsies yet but I definitely will.  I also love the Rohto Lycee drops.  It comes in such a cute design and my friend describes it as the eye drops "that make my eyes feel like they're having sex," lol.

I was able to choose which pair I wanted and the timing just happened to be perfect because I'd ask a friend which brand she used since they look so nice but natural on her.  The hard part was picking out a color, I couldn't decide between grey, brown, or green!  I ended up choosing grey.

Here are some details on the circle lenses, although they are quite popular so you're probably already familar with them (if you're into circle lenses).

GEO Bambi aka Princess Mimi Circle Lenses in Sesame Grey
Brand: GEO
Origin: South Korea
Water content: 38% - 42%
Diameter: 15.0 mm
Base Curve: 8.7
Duration: 1 year disposable

Modeled (and I think designed?) by Tsubasa Masuwaka.

When I first put them on I was like WHOA. haha The difference is really noticeable, it looked like I'd just turned into a vampire! (Err...or lizard, I dunno.) But I got used to them by the second time I wore them, and it was almost disappointing taking them out and having boring, regular eyes again. =(  (Like Cinderella having her enchantment come to an end.)

I was a bit nervous at first.  I guess that's just how I am.  First, I spent so much time choosing a color that I forgot to include my prescription, ack!  Then, I was nervous if I'd be able to see with these lenses, haha.  I have astigmatism which really sucks but I'd hoped since Iyah was able to wear circle lenses, I'd be okay too. :3  And lastly, I was just nervous how I'd look with them, hehehe.

Although the grey can be really unnatural looking up close or in bright lighting, I do think it has a chameleon effect and tends to match with whatever color you're wearing.  Even though I know the diameter is bigger than my eyes, I think my eyes may be too small or almond shape because I don't really see that huge, doll-like effect like I see on other girls, but I still find the circle lenses really pretty and fun to wear.  Because of my stupid astigmatism (yes, it's stupid), I can't see quite as well with these circle lenses so I don't think I can wear them very often, just once in a while (and hopefully, someone else would be driving, haha).

I just checked EyeCandyLens.com and they happen to have the series on sale right now, so I'm probably going to order another pair!  =)

I'm temped to wear these to Beautylish's The Beauty Social event this upcoming weekend.  What do you think?  Although people might think I'm staring at them...

If you wear or have worn circle lenses, what colors and styles do you tend to prefer?

On another note...in case you don't follow my FB page, I posted a blog sale last night.  You can view it by clicking "Blog Sale" at the end of the navigation bar at the top of my blog.  Thanks in advance for looking!

I don't know why it takes me a million tries to get a good normal pic, but I always seem to nail it right away if I make a stupid or silly face...

Gosh, I wrote too much and took way too long to put this post together. =X  Goodnight everyone!! ♥

  7. Hello there, I just discovered your blog and I love it! :D You show a lot of asian cosmetics which I adore :) so it's very helpfull for choosing good products. BTW, I also have astigmatism and it's really annoying :( I can't ither see well with the same lenses you won (Mimi grey ones) because the color of the lense touches my iris and it makes my eyesight blurred. Anyway they're really pretty :) check out my blog if you want for lense review that will come soon :) http://iloveobsesion.blogspot.com.es/
