Review: My Beauty Diary Vienna Black Tulip Mask

Hiyee~!! Here's another review for one of the My Beauty Diary masks I'm giving away as a Facebook bonus for my January giveaway.

Description

My Beauty Diary Vienna Black Tulip Mask containing the rare deep purple tulips, which can make the skin smooth and firm. In addition, together with rosemary and white birch, both of these ingredients could whiten your skin in a high condition, master the activate of firming gene, making your skin white and elastic, and have silky smooth skin. Suitable for all skin types.(from Sasa.com)

Use

Put the mask on cleansed and toned face. Leave it for 20-30 minutes and peel off. Gently massage the remaining serum for better absorption. No rinsing is necessary. Follow with usual skin care products.

Price:

Varies but I think ~$2 a sheet. I would suggest not paying more than $15 with shipping for a box.

Where to Buy:

I bought mine from Sasa but they no longer have it. You can still find it on iMomoko and PinkyParadise.

Pros

♥ thin but great quality material
♥ good amount of serum and sufficiently moisturizing
♥ very smoothing and somewhat firming

Cons

♥ I felt some mild stinging the first time, but not the next time
♥ floral scent that's not my favorite

My Thoughts

Not my favorite of the floral bunch but still a very good mask.  It makes my face feel smooth and hydrated.  I think there is some firming effect but not very dramatic, and I didn't really notice any or much whitening.  Still, it does a great job at leaving skin feeling smooth and supple and didn't leave too much of a sticky residue.

Tomorrow is the last day to enter my giveaway if you haven't already!

  1. very cute packaging though! I'm also not too fond of floral masks, I'd prefer them to smell fruity. Lovely post :)

  5. Aww thank you, and yes!  I really do think it makes a lot of difference, especially over time.  My skin has really improved since I started using face masks over the past three years. =)

  6. I am a sucka for cute packaging, hehe, and there are so many face masks with cute packaging, ahh!  I'm not a huge fan of floral masks either but once you get used to it, it's not too bad.  I prefer subtle floral though, this one wasn't very subtle.

  7. IKR? I always thought that I was the odd one out when I mentioned that some MBD masks leave a sticky residue while everyone raved about them..

You should get the newer flavours, especially the two step ones. I've used Luffa and I am in love!

  8. Aww yeah, that was the first time I experienced that with MBD, I guess some masks are just more sticky and maybe depending on our skin too.

hehe I will definitely look into the newer ones!  Luffa sounds like it'd be nice.  I want to collect your whole "family!" ;)
