This past month, Etude House had a 30% off winter sale! Korean brands like Etude House have their own mini shops on Gmarket (search for 에뛰드하우스★직영샵). I try to check Gmarket's beauty calendar at the beginning of every month to see which brands are having sales. Another thing I do is follow Facebook pages for Korean beauty brands like Etude House, because if the brand is having a sale in Korea, often it will also have the same sale on Gmarket! Shopping the sales can be a great way to accommodate the shipping costs, especially for the U.S.
Here is my beautiful haul! It looks small but took a lot of thought and will power to only buy what was "necessary," keke.
The small item in front is the Etude House Drawing Eye Brow pencil in 01 Dark Brown. I forgot to take pictures of it so I'll have to update another time when I do. I'm looking forward to using it once I do since I've read good things about it.
I'd been dying to dye my hair (get it? keke), and eying the Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring. I've scoured over the internet and have seen very mixed reviews, but the Korean price is so affordable and I've yet to try a bubble hair dye, so I'm willing to take the chance! However, funny thing happened...once I bought the dye, I decided to go ahead and keep my natural black hair for just a little bit longer. The color I choose is #7 Mocha Pink, which I know won't give me results as light or dramatic as the color on the box but probably a medium-dark brown with a slight pinkish tint. I bought two boxes just in case one isn't enough for my long hair, and if it is, so that I'll have a second box ready for touch up when my roots grow out.
I needed a new facial cleanser since I was almost out of my Innisfree one, so I decided to try this Etude House Baking Powder Cleansing Foam - Moist. It's really inexpensive and unlike most Asian facial cleansing foams, it doesn't dry my skin at all! That's a nice surprise and also a relief since the weather is starting to get cold here and my skin will become more dry and less combination (oily in t-zone). I'm quite happy with it and wouldn't mind buying it again in the future.
The cutest item in my haul! It's from Etude House's new Missing You Hand Cream line. This season it's called "I Believe I Can Fly" and features birds. I got the Kakapo, which is a parrot (I did not know that until now!). The scent is apple and it smells yummy! Not like a real apple but more like apple candy. To be honest, I chose this one out of the four because I love the color (mint color has been my favorite lately/this past year). To be honest, I kind of want to get all four! But I know that's a little excessive because I don't need them.
Continuation of my love for mint color! I finally upgraded my 3gs iPhone and got the 4s (wasn't impressed with the 5), so I needed a new case. I found this adorable ribbon bunny ear case and love it! The pink heart has a suction on its back so that it can be used as a stand, but truthfully it doesn't work well.
I also got this Ardium iPhone case, which I'd seen on Shop N' Chomp's blog. It wasn't my original intention to get the same case as hers, but when I'd browsed through Ardium's selection, I narrowed it down between this one and the same one but with inverted colors (mint outside, peachy pink inside). I chose this one since I get to look at the pretty mint color inside, keke.
Can you tell I really love it? hehe Well, I probably wouldn't have a reason to post all those pictures of it in any other post, keke.
Ahhhhh shopping for Korean products really makes me miss Korea. I wish I could take another trip there again soon! Until then, at least I can shop on Gmarket, keke.
I hope everyone has been doing well and had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Christmas is fast approaching! I can only imagine how busy everyone will be with the holidays and end of the year coming. I hope to share some reviews with you in the upcoming months! Miss you all. ♥
