When I first saw the promo for this circle lens on EyeCandyLens' Facebook Page, I was immediately intrigued and wanted to try this pair of GEO Mari Gold Grey Circle Lens. Doesn't the model look so pretty?!

Luckily for me, EyeCandyLens offered me two pairs of circle lens of choice to review on my blog. Yes, I know, I am indeed a lucky girl! My first ever pair of circle lens, the GEO Princess Mimi Sesame Grey, were from EyeCandyLens so I already knew they are a reliable source for authentic circle lenses.

The package came with the vials safely packed in small boxes and bubble wrap, and included contact cases as well as a small leaflet with instructions on wearing and caring for circle lenses.

The back of their card is actually a place to keep track of circle lenses and their expiration dates. Very thoughtful and useful!

I absolutely love the cute little boxes that the vials come in. They're just so cute and hold the vials so neatly. The other pair of circle lens I received are the GEO Grang Grang (Big), which I will review later this month.

Use

The leaflet will provide guidance for proper use and care of your circle lenses, so make sure to familiarize yourself with it before wearing your circle lens pair. Aside from the usual contacts wear and care, it's important to note that you absolutely MUST soak your new pair of circle lens in solution for at least 6 hours before you wear them. Pros

♥ lightens dark eye color
♥ unique gold specks
♥ subtle looking
♥ slight enlargement effect
♥ comfortable to wear

Cons

♥ gold specks may not be very noticeable depending on natural eye color, hair color, and skin tone.

My Thoughts

I must admit that I was hoping to look more like the model in the promo, but of course, that's not realistic. Since my skin tone and hair color are deeper and darker, the effect of the gold flecks is much more subtle and the grey looks cool on me, even with the warm gold flecks. However, they do lighten my eyes and almost give a glow. There is some enlargement but overall, the effect is subtle and not in-your-face unnatural looking. I think these are a great choice if you want a classy, sophisticated look with a bit of sparkle for intrigue.

It's interesting to have grey and gold together, since it means that the color can look either cool or warm. For me, it leans more cool thanks to my natural black hair (I've been thinking about dying it brown, yay or nay? Or should I wait until after winter?). I tried to play up the gold more by using warm makeup colors, like eye shadows with gold sheen, peach blush (Illamasqua Lover!), and even a light orange lipstick (Etude House Dear My Blooming OR205).

What do you think? Surprisingly, although the weather here has still been very hot (a fact that I won't let you forget with each post of mine, sorry), I've been avoiding the sun so my tan has faded a wee bit and my skin looks lighter depending on the lighting, also adding to my "cool" look. I kind of like it though.

How would you wear these circle lenses? What kind of look would you go for?
