Summer Brights: Nails

One of the many things I love about summer is being able to wear fun, uber bright nail polish. This summer I especially love wearing turquoises, aquas, teals, and somewhat minty blue-green colors. The pop of color just makes me feel happy.

The color looks more blue in the picture than in person. In person, I find the color to lean a touch more minty (but this is definitely a mint blue and not green).

This is a very bright pink I'd received in my April Glossybox. Admittedly I have tons of bright pink polishes (or pink polishes in general) but what I like about this is that it can look cool or warm toned depending on the lighting. I find the warm tone pleasantly surprising and flattering on my medium-tanned skin tone.


I can't help but think that summer is almost over since we're in mid-August now, and I keep seeing fall-related releases but it honestly feels like the middle of summer. For the past week, the weather has been hot and in the 90s. Thanks to all the heat, I can't help but feel summer's going to be around for a while longer, hehe. I'm actually glad because it means I can still enjoy summer things, including bright colors. =)

    I love the mint blue colour, it's definitely not green. :3

    It has been sunny in London for the past few days but the sky started to pour with rain this evening. Guess I have to say goodbye to sunny Summer. ><

    I've been wearing the exact opposite.. drawn to the darker colours for some reason?! Love that pink and blue though!

    Lol maybe because our skin tone colors are opposites? Hehe so we're getting good contrast with the colors we're drawn to!
