Holiday Red Nails in Dear Santa and Ruby Pumps

I have a secret...I hardly paint my nails, haha, and also...I have old lady hands. =( They're genetic, damn it! Also, it's hardly a secret if you know me in real life, haha. Plus even though I live in Southern California, the winter mornings and nights have been cold and dry (around 40 degrees, I know that's prob warm to you East Coast and Mid-West gals, but my genes are meant for the humid tropics!). Anyways...I've been seeing all your blogs and tweets on holiday collections, and gave in to the gorgeous glittery-ness, hoping to feel more Christmas spirit. =)

I apologize in advance for making you look at my not-so-cute hands and also for the messy application.

First up...Dear Santa from the OPI Holiday Wishes 2009 Collection

15% Off Christmas Code at iMomoko.com

iMomoko.com is currently having a 15% off entire purchase sale with code "Xmas09" until December 31st. I took advantage since I'm almost in need of a new moisturizer (almost done using my DHC Q10 Travel/Trial Set from my swap with Kay).

Betty was sweet to send me a Christmas card and shipped it very quickly to me, thank you!

Christmas Love Pack from Mayaari!!

I got a sweet surprise in the mail from my big-hearted Diana, oh if you only knew how much I love receiving snail mail!! Takes me back to the days of penpal letters and letters from my friends down south while I was up north, etc. etc. I am a big sucka for cards and blogger babes send the best LOVE PACKS EVER!!

Mayaari's goodies!! so sweet and thoughtful

My Secret Santa Blair!!

I was blessed with beautiful blogger babes, and when I say beautiful I do mean inside AND out!! As such, I love meeting up with these gals and doing fun things like Secret Santas! This one was hosted by my dear Kay, and I feel very lucky to participate this year. My Secret Santa turned out to be Blair, she sent me love all the way from Malaysia!!

Blair's goodies!! so cute and girly ♥

Merry Christmas, My Loves!!

Merry Christmas, everyone!!

First let me start by saying that I'm sorry I've been blogger MIA for the past couple of months, but lots of things have been happening and I have not had reliable internet where I live, boohoo! I'm actually sitting at a Starbucks cafe (the guy serving drinks does not look very happy...he belted out "Caramel Brulee Latte! CARAMEL BRULEE LATTE!!" which made me jump up and as a result, my laptop FELL on the mother$#@! floor...thanks a lot, impatient guy. =/ I know, I know...it sucks to have to work on a holiday but I feel if he just read "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place" by Ernest Hemingway he might understand and have a little more patience...plus, they're closing in less than an hour anyway! Plus he wasn't even done with my Caramel Brulee Latte, he just wanted to know if I wanted whipped cream...okay okay, end rant.)

Happy Turkey/Tofurkey Day!!

Guess who's back?! Did you even notice I was gone?? Well, I haven't had internet in the past couple of weeks, wahhhh!! (Just on my iPhone, not good enough for blogging!)

So I have lots of posts to catch up on, tons of reading to do...but, I just wanted to do a quick one to wish you all an early Happy Thanksgiving!! Happy Turkey Day and Happy Tofurkey Day to the vegetarians/vegans, and Happy Turducken Day and Fried Turkey Day, yadda yadda yadda!

Anyways, I leave you with this random story...

Tell me if you recognize the guy in this pic...because I didn't! Not at first. =)

Be Dazzling Benefit Cosmetics Holiday Contest on Polyvore

After I saw Mona's dazzling set, I just had to jump onto Polyvore and try playing with it myself. Here's my set for the Benefit Cosmetics Polyvore contest.

Benefit Be Dazzling Holiday

The Benefit contest ends tonight! (Midnight, Pacific Standard Time, I believe.) So if you want to enter, better hurry!

I spent way too much time playing with that last night! I'm still new to it but if you're on Polyvore, here's my profile. Are you on Polyvore too? =)

Review: VOV Daily Fresh Mini Pack Wash Off Packs (Part 2)

As promised, here is part 2 of my VOV Daily Fresh Mini Packs Wash Off Masks review (*whew* what a mouthful). From the website, it seems I've actually tried 7 of the 9 types! The only two I haven't tried are the Green Tea and Charcoal.

*Oink Oink* I Love to Eat!!

Oh-so-late but I went to the L.A. County Fair a few weeks ago, at the beginning of October.

The sky was very cloudy and totally overcast, but somehow when we got to the fair, it was very hot! Though it doesn't look it in this pic.

Review: VOV Daily Fresh Mini Pack Wash Off Packs (Part 1)

I've totally been MIA and will be pretty busy for the next month, so I'm sorry I haven't been around leaving comments but I do lurk around your blogs using my iPhone (another reason why I don't comment, I like to comment from my computer)!

Previously my dad was able to get me some VOV Daily Fresh packs when he was in Vietnam. Apparently it was no easy feat as he was in the big and crowded city (Ho Chi Minh if you're new school, Saigon if you're old school) and it was raining and the streets were flooded. He could only find these 7, which is fine with me 'cause it made for a nice trial period!

Hello, Fall...

Well, not exactly...but guess what? I managed to get my hands on the Limited Edition Jill Stuart mook! Yippie!! I got one of the last two at Kinokuniya. Been wanting this since I'd seen it on Rouge Deluxe and was also reminded by Yumeko.

VOV in the Housssse!!

You like my cheesy post titles, I know. =P Guess what? I've implemented a VOV Daily Fresh mini pack schedule for myself! haha I know I have issues, because even though I have a lot of masks right now, I still want more!! But I've decided to exercise some self control and these Daily Fresh packs should hold me over the next 7 or so weeks. I'll keep track of my thoughts on each kind (I have 7 of the 9 types) and post once I've tried them all. =)

I went to the VOV website to see if I could find info on the mini packs, no luck since I can't read Korean and can't use a web translator for the site (damn Flash and images-instead-of-text word descriptions), but I saw a new Castledew eye shadow palette that caught my eye!

Visee and Whore Makeup

I went clubbing last weekend and used my Visee Blackish Forming Eyes palette that I got from AdamBeauty a while back. Visee eye shadow palettes are my favorite Japanese drugstore makeup. Pics with my iPhone before I went out.

Some Current Favs

Got some things from Sephora a while ago (on my birthday actually) but I'm just now posting them. Nothing fancy or new, but just some things I figure a girl could use to feel somewhat spoiled. =)

oh Sephora...how I love thee...

Random Buys

I've realized that I give my face a lot of love and care and have been somewhat neglecting the skin on my body, so I decided to go by the Lush store in Anaheim at the Garden Walk for a little body skincare treat. =)

Self Spoilage/Self Loving!!

Some people like self-preservation, but I'm more about the self spoiling and self loving!! I'm kidding...but since it was my birthday (I know, you didn't hear a peep about my birthday from me before my birthday)...I think because my birthday comes at the end of July, and I'm a first day Leo, I somehow tend to celebrate all Leo month long, hehe.

Anyways...what I'm trying to say is the fun don't stop...haha!

I joined the iPhone family!! Got the new 3GS.

Birthday Love From Fabulously Thrifty!! and Love/Hate Tag

Ahhh sweet Melissa gifted me with an Amazon gift card for my birthday! It took me over two weeks to decide what I wanted to get with it, hehe. How can I best describe my Amazon wish list? Like a dream...it changes frequently, it's mostly a place where I save things I might want to get in the future, but sometimes the "want" fades and so my list is constantly changing! Indecisive me couldn't decide on what to get...beauty/skincare related product(s)? New music? A dvd? In the end...I decided on what'd be enjoyable yet also of value...

Birthday Love From Bihada Diaries!!

Birthday Love From Mayaari!!

Hi everyone! I'm two weeks behind but this week I will attempt to post all the birthday love I received from such sweet, thoughtful and generous blogger beauties!!

I apologize that I didn't have time to make videos or do BlogTV, but each surprise in the mailbox just made me so giddy I had to open and savor the sweetness of each love-filled package!

As you know, it was my birthday two weeks ago and I got this sweet surprise in the mail the very day before! I was a good girl and didn't open it until my actual birthday, which I'm glad because it was filled with so much love it almost made me want to cry!!

This particular birthday love package came from Mayaari, aka East Coast Diana aka Right Boobie, my bosom buddy, hehe, a birthday angel who makes wishes come true!!

without further ado...

Foundation Trials and Errors, and my humble birthday =)

Hi everyone!! Sorry I've been so MIA but I really hope you're all out and about and too busy enjoying your summer to notice little ol' me anyway!! You'll accept this loooooooong post as a peace offering and forgive me, right? *puppy eyes*

As you know, I've been on the hunt for my perfection foundation...and still no luck! Even though I wear very little makeup during the day, I still want to find the perfect foundation for going out at night, especially since it usually means taking a lot of pictures with bright flash. My idea of the perfect foundation is one that feels lightweight but offers enough coverage for a natural and flawless look, and doesn't make my face look ghost white in pictures with flash. What a MISSION this is, indeed!

I actually liked the MAC Studio Sculpt (from the makeover for the wedding I went to last month) BUT it failed the flash test (completely and utterly). So I went by the MAC store because I wanted to try the Studio Tech foundation (in NC 30 applied by a MAC MUA). What did I think of it? Felt heavy and kind of sticky and cakey. =( I know from reading Julie's review that if I buy it, I could thin it out with Fix+. The funny thing was that the MUA said Studio Tech is lighter than Studio Sculpt (used on me for my friend's wedding), but I actually liked Studio Sculpt better because it felt more lightweight. And...this one also failed the camera flash test (I know by now you're questioning my camera flash, but let me point out that it's only MY face that comes out white and not anyone else's, guys or girls with makeup).

Late Last Weekend Update

Sorry so late! I'm such a White Rabbit, always running late! This is going to be a really long post to make up for my lateness (i.e., very picture heavy!).

First things first, I dyed my hair again! Yeah...what's new...well it was supposed to be "dark ash brown" but it came out black!

My makeup is the same as the last blog post, so you can see how the dark ash shade really minimalizes the redness in my skin tone and cools down my face.

my usual looking-down look

Vroooommm!! Random Drive By Update!

Ever notice how I can be a bit random sometimes? haha

I got an incredibly generous package from the sweet and thoughtful Kay, it totally made my day! But I'll dedicate a post to it once I have pics ready. For now, if you're really curious, just watch the video on my YouTube or else be patient!

Here are some pics of me wearing Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadow in Samba-dy Loves Me. Samba-dy Loves Me is a great shade! I was in a rush so for my eye makeup I only used that along with my MUFE Aqua Eyes in Pearly Brown 2L and of course curled my lashes and added mascara.

Why Am I So Vain...

I hope everyone had a nice long weekend in the States and is now enjoying the shorter week because of it! I went shopping with one of my high school best friends, she was visiting and I hadn't seen her in almost 8 years! We went to the *new* Forever21 that used to be a Mervyn's at the mall. It's big! I was hoping to find some dresses but all the Smalls were a bit loose on me. =(

So...I went to a different mall and still didn't find anything! I came across this short sleeve jacket and camera whored in the fitting room...such a vain girl!! But that's how I do, ahahaha.

Small Sephora Haul and Teal Blue EOTD

So hella weeks ago was the Sephora 15% off sale for beauty insiders, and Iyah reminded me that if I shopped through the website via ebates (don't have ebates? ask me for an invite! haha comment with your e-mail address) that I'd save more with their cash back! And since it was before Mother's Day, ebates raised the Sephora.com cash back from 4% to 8%, so it's like I saved 23%, woot woot!

I didn't haul a lot though, this is what I got...

Mail Love from Hawaii and NY!! Plus a Friendship Tag

Ahhhh I'm so spoiled!!

This heavy box arrived from Hawaii! Omg...lol I'd asked WuzzyAngel about the LCD screen protector she'd gotten for her camera and bless her sweet heart, she said she had an extra one she could send me! But then...look at all this!

My Favorite Current Look Video and Another Tag!

I've been wanting to do a video of this look for a few weeks now but had all those other videos to post first. Then guess what? My wifey M did a similar video last week! And she also used my current go to eye shadow shade MAC Honey Lust!

Well of course mine is a bit different than hers since I use some different products, not to mention I'm more tanned than she is! So while she used a light pink blush and pink beige lipstick, I choose peachy tones.

I don't wear this exact same look all the time, usually with some variations for cheeks and lips but the EOTD are pretty much usually the same.

Tagged by Whit and a Mask Sheet Video

I was tagged by Whit over a week ago but am just now getting around to posting it!

What is your current obsession?
natural beauty products and handmade products...they're all LOVE but require a bit of research.

What is your weirdest obsession?
I don't have a weird obsession...just standard obsessions...although my Japaneezy fo sheezy could be considered a weird obsession.

What are you wearing today?
a yellow tank top, butterfly & flower printed gray hoodie, a pair of True Religion jeans and of course undies/innerwear

Swap with NingStar in Malaysia!!

HAHA I was suppose to post this last weekend or early this week...my bad! But here it is, the last part of the video I made. It was a little over YouTube's max time limit so I cut it into two videos.

A Lush Life...

My very first experience with Lush was probably about two years ago when I tried their Ocean Salt Cleanser at a friend's place, and I wasn't too impressed (but it was summer and at the time my face was sunburned). Since then, thanks mostly to the blogging Lush Queen wifey M, my curiosity has peaked sinceI would love for my beauty products to be not only good for me but also good for the earth. So I finally visited the closest Lush store and made some purchases from studying the website and also M's recommendations!

Here's a three minute video, haha...

Quick Update on Ze Hair and Video (Updated)

I had every intention of dying my hair "Natural Black"...so much that I bought the dye. And then what happened? Well, I snapped a few photos of my hair...sat in my car, looked at the photos, looked in the mirror...thought about how much time and effort it took to get my natural black hair to a noticeable brown...and truthfully the natural black dye looked darker in person than on the web...ahaha so I ran back into the store and exchanged for "Royalbrown".

I also got my hair cut this past weekend. I asked the stylist to lop off two inches and give me medium-long layers (trying to cut off as much of the old highlights as I could!). My hair feels so much better now and I feel much more presentable!

I have a lot to update...so I did video of everything but had to cut it into 4 parts. I still want to do proper posts so here's just the first part of the video (don't worry, I cut them so the sections will make sense on their own). I'll try to post each night for the next three nights.

Hair Color Woes

It's that time again...I can't decide what color to dye my hair. I know I don't want this current color anymore. Now that the seasons are warmer, my skin tone gets deeper and it just doesn't go well with the current auburn dark brown (cranberrychocolat) hair color. So...should I keep a similar color or go darker?

I'm leaning towards darker but hesitating since there's a good chance in a few months I'll want my hair to be lighter, haha (lighter being a medium brown shade). I'm so easily influenced...I'll see a picture of a gorgeous model in a Japanese mag and want her hair color! But then again, I want a color that'll flatter my skin tone.

Here's what I used for my current hair color (though my hair's not as red, it's actually dark brown on top and gradually fades to a golden reddish brown thanks to my old highlights...I can't wait until I can cut them all off!).

Quest Crew at World of Dance Tour

I just wanted to share my video of Quest Crew performing live last night at World of Dance in Pomona! I went with some friends and some of my other friends helped with the show, so I got backstage access. Still, there were a lot of people there so I kind of made my way to the corner closest to the front of the stage (from the backstage section) to take this video. Most of the time I was standing on tippy toes with my arms up to get the best view I could. I was actually standing behind one of the Ringmasters guys (poor guy, my camera was hovering all around his head) and a Beat Freaks girl (I think).

My friends and I were lallygagging around so we missed the Beat Freaks performance (plus that was way before we went backstage so I would have been farrrrrrrr back in the audience).

I wish I could say I got to meet Quest Crew again but I didn't. We got there a bit late and then there was a delay so Quest Crew performed a little after midnight. My friends were ready to go immediately after. I'm glad I got to go and see them perform and share this video with you all though! =)

P.S. Ringmasters also performed but I didn't get any video. Seven-year-old bboy Jalen also performed. I might post a video later this week if anyone wants to see it.

P.P.S. My arms were sore from working out the day before and then from having to hold the camera up, haha. Sometimes I wish I was taller!

Random Update

My blog just turned one year old! Yup, its birthday was the end of March. I didn't blog too much for the first half, so I'm not in the mood to celebrate. I'll make it up by celebrating its UNbirthday sometime later this year.

Anyone who doesn't know yet about Yasumi's new blog for her beautiful handmade jewelry should definitely go visit! NOW!! She is selling gorgeous pieces at her shop called Worship At The House Of Blues. If you purchase something, let her know that I pimped her!

I made a video of random things I've gotten recently...but I forgot to take pictures so if you're curious, you'll just have to watch.

I hope you're all having a great week!

Mail Love from Blogger Sweethearts!!

I loooooove getting mail (not counting bills and junk mail)...and I love it even more when sweethearts send me surprises!

First I got a sweet handmade card from Melissa!! She's the sweetie who gave me her Sephora $15 code back in Nov/Dec and now this too!

MAC on one side...

An Award For Moi?

Well...more like a tag really...I was awarded/tagged by Czel with the Honest Scrap Award.

“This award is bestowed upon a fellow blogger whose blog’s content or design is, in the giver’s opinion, brilliant.

“When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real. Choose a minimum of seven (7) blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten (10) honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!”

WWBW...What Would Blair Wear?! My Gossip Girl Look

I'm sure you all know by now about Mona's fabulous contest, so this is my entry! (Deadline is Sunday night/Monday morning so enter if you haven't already!)

I choose Blair, aka the Classic Prep, because I love her style and makeup even though I think I dress more like Serena (Blairena? Blaireniana?). Would Blair really wear what I'm wearing? Prob not! But here's my look anyways.

My makeup inspiration...neutral eyes with peachy cheeks and lips that pop...

the lighting makes me look more pale...

Just Touched Down From London Town...

Or I guess I should title this "Completely Spoiled by My Sweethearts!! Part II" but...nah.

This post is dedicated to my favorite, lovely London girl (Estelle aside), Yasumi aka the incredible Glow!! Prepare to be overwhelmed, because I was! I was so overwhelmed, I could have cried...but I didn't, instead I took pictures of everything so I could post onto Poupee Girl!!

Completely Spoiled by My Sweethearts!! Part I

Two posts within 24 hours?! Craaaaaazy! But...I blame it on Poupee Girl. They have special items for sale and I have to upload lots of pics for ribbons there, so I might as well share my new pics on my blog tonight! =)

I was completely overwhelmed today by the arrival of not one but TWO packages! If I post both, you'd be overwhelmed...and possibly enraged that I could get so much love in the mail (I myself can't believe it)...so here's part one! =)

Yume-chan and I did a second swap for spring and I'm so happy! Though we'd meant to send out on the same day, I was a day late with hers and so received hers first. (I hope you get mine today!)

MAC Hello Kitty and Then Some!!

Lots and lots of pictures!!! I met up with Iyah and her hubby Adrian, Ria and her boyfriend Dave, and Iyah's YouTube friend Valeree at South Coast Plaza for the MAC Hello Kitty pre-sale event last night! It was madness. I thought it'd be a chill lil occassion, us leisurely playing with the new collection while sipping our free drinks and nibbling on free food...um, yeah, not quite.

So my homeboy IM-ed me and gave me a Denny's link...

me: take me a trip I want to go to Denny's...
me: I really want to, eat Denny's with you...you can be my Denny's boyyyyyy
him: oh...wow
me: do your rap
him: ...wow
me: who's killing pigs in Denny's...
him: crazy Diana

LOL I just wanted to share. (If you didn't get it or don't listen to hip hop, I was *singing* "American Boy" by Estelle featuring Kanye West, but substituting with Denny's.)

Tomorrow is the MAC Hello Kitty pre-sale event, yippie! But guess what? I'm not that interested in the collection! So we'll see what I walk out with. =)

EDIT: I do really want a MAC Hello Kitty Dazzleglass or two! But that won't be released until March. I was poking around and saw MAC will also release a Sugar Sweet Collection that sounds absolutely delicious! The glosses look sparkly in dif packaging and there will be new MSFs...right up my alley. ;)

And The Winners Are...

Iyah the Wallflower and Kon the Daydream Believer!!

Thank you to everyone who took the time and effort to enter my mini contest, and thank you to everyone who voted! On my end, it was a lot of fun to read all of your creative entries and also to get to know a little bit more about you beautiful girls! You put my own little blurb to shame, easily. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the voting poll had over 100 votes (I have no idea how much traffic comes through my blog except for those who leave comments) and that the poll and I actually agreed! (So don't think it was a popularity contest.)

Iyah sent me her blurb the first night that I'd posted the mini contest! Wow, I couldn't believe it was that fast and easy for her, and she even claimed to have always been bad in English class! Her blurb was very sweet, I would have never thought of this sweetheart as a wallflower in the background, and the timing of her twist and ending were perfect, very much like the Too Faced Quickie Chronicles that I had posted as examples of the fun style I was looking for.

The Wallflower

Iyah
http://withadriyah.blogspot.com/

She was the girl who's always been at the background. Did you notice her? Many will say no.
The girl who had a lot of insecurities in life, always been so conscious about herself.
Always been thinking she will never be pretty like her mother. Girls made fun of her, guys laughed at her.
But now, everything changed. Shyness in her disappeared. They laughed at her, she laughed with them.
Are you ready? Because she's here! Indeed a flower, but not meant on the wall.

When I first received Kon's entry, first I knew nothing about her since she was new to blogging, but once I read her blurb, I knew it was a winner! Not only because I'm a daydreamer and bookworm also, but blurb really captured the magical effect of reading and daydreaming, as well as has that fun and lighthearted tone that made her writing so enjoyable to read. Also, like Iyah's, the ending was just perfect!

The Daydream Believer

Kon

Every book was a different world; libraries were galaxies. That silly girl, that Daydream Believer, loved novels like princesses loved their princes. Each page turned was a different place, a different life; who could get enough? Not she, never ever! Her every thought was a dream, an adventure. Every waking moment was the same as every night spent asleep. She dreamt of que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be. Maybe she should pull her head out of the clouds and keep those feet on the ground―who knows when her real Prince Charming will come by! Knowing this girl, though, she probably won't even notice, not with that face buried in those books…she'll just pass him by!

I've been rounding up goodies and will have them in the mail either tomorrow or Friday, so you girls will be getting your prizes sometime next week! Thanks again and congratulations!!

Japanese Goodies TEASER and More Camera Whoring

I had the pleasure of hitting up Mitsuwa, Kinokuniya, and Mitsuwa (dif location) this week. I am biased but I believe I live by the best Mitsuwa (Torrance), and I also happen to live between two Mitsuwas, woot woot! (Torrance/South Bay and Costa Mesa/OC).

I've been itching to go to Japanese stores but waiting until my contest ended so I could pick up prizes and surprise goodies to send out (although voting is still going on! so please vote if you haven't already). I reallllllllllllllllly want to post what I bought BUT I want everything to be a surprise for everyone...so instead, I'll just post teaser pics of my Mitsuwas and Kinokuniya (I didn't photograph everything so they really are teasers). For all of you Japanese products & magazine junkies, enjoy!!

First stop, the Fits Sexy Girl display...

"The Quickie" Contestants!! Please VOTE

Thank you to each and every one of you lovely ladies for entering my "The Quickie" Mini Contest!! This mini contest is based first and foremost on the BLURB submitted (creativity and style but overall just a damn LOVELY blurb), not the pictures. So please take the time to vote for your FAVORITE by using the poll to the right! While I will consider the results of the voting poll, I will make the final decision. There will be more than one winner! Thanks for entering and thanks in advance for voting!

Drugstore Luck and My Paperchase...

I went to Rite-Aid and got lucky! (Not that kind of lucky...) I noticed that the Physician's Formula makeup was Buy One Get One 50% Off...and at this particular location, they had a bunch of items with Last Chance Sale stickers on them for 75% off! The items I was most interested in didn't have the sale stickers, but a few of the Mineral Wear Liquid Foundations did! However, only certain shades did (not yours, Yume-chan, sowwie)...they were only for Fair Natural, Nude Beige, Creamy Beige and Sand Beige. So instead of being $11.95, they were $3!

I had the usual indecisive-Diana dilemma...I grabbed the last Nude Beige...then saw Creamy Beige...hmmm! hahaha Long story short, the Creamy Beige looked slightly darker with a yellow undertone and the Nude Beige looked slighter lighter with pink undertones, but when worn, Creamy Beige was too light and Nude Beige blended in better for me. Whew! (Girl dilemmas, I tell ya.)

Looming Contest Deadline, Poupee Lucky Bags, and Prize Pics!

This is the last weekend until my contest deadline! Next week, I will post all of the entries and a voting poll to see what all of the ladies think...although ultimately, the decision is mine and it's holistic scoring (no points breakdown).

Thanks to Yume-chan and Yasumi (how cute was your outfit and comment yesterday!), I've become addicted to Poupee Girl...you should all join (Tia and Fuz already have)! Poupee is French for doll, and on the website you create a character and earn ribbons by posting your pictures of your fashion and beauty items so that you can buy dress up items for your Poupee. Right now, they have special lucky bags (fukubukuro...a New Year's surprise bag that has up to double the retail value inside, I learned this from Yume-chan) for your Poupee Girls! Too cute...I've whored out my beauty and fashion products to earn lots of ribbons for the lucky bags, ahahaha.

Goodies in the Mail and ABDC!!

Soooo what's this surprise I saw from my mailbox earlier this week?

The lovely Linda from My Pretty Pink Box sent me another Tu Bella full size perfume! She read my blog that I'd gotten a full size in the same scent that I'd gotten in a previous pink box, and she was such a doll to send me another one! This one smells like the Vanilla Cream, I love warm vanilla scents! So for all you ladies who worried that if you buy pink boxes you might get the same thing more than once, Linda really takes care of us customers! Thank you so much, Linda!!

MAC Hello Kitty, Kracie Hadabisei Mask, and Mini Contest Deadline Extension!

Ahh I don't do well with these damn online 3-day sales. As you know the MAC 25% off everything sale (except Viva Glam) expired Thursday night at 11:59 p.m. EST (or 8:59 p.m. PST). When the sale started two nights ago, I first filled my shopping bag with everything and anything I might want to buy...I quickly filled it up to $503 ($500 is the online limit). Then surely enough, items were sold out and removed from my bag until two items were left this morning (haha). Most of the brushes I had my eyes on were sold out...until Thursday night, I noticed after 8 p.m. that all of the previously sold out items were now marked "temporarily out-of-stock" and could be placed in my shopping bag again. So went the mad dash, and as I typed my damn info to order, the seconds passed and the code expired...HA HA! Similar thing had happened back in November with the Sephora F&F Sale. Online 3-day sales=too much pressure, damnit. =)
